Purchased my TRD-OR 2 years ago with 56k - now has 76k. Can't remember what I paid for it but soon after the prices skyrocketed - now, sadly, they are sliding back to a more normal value. I've done everything to the car that I planned on (and some things I didn't). My plan for traveling to Moab is starting to look like it may not happen and as time goes by I am losing interest. I'm starting to look at the 2019-2020 Expedition as a replacement for the 4runner as I have since acquired a travel trailer that weighs out around 5700lbs - beyond the 4Runners safe capability, so I may soon being saying goodbye to what has been a fantastic ride.

The bigger interior space and more power will certainly be nice! Just wish they still offered a V8 though.

Bought a 2012 in June of 2018. No plans to swap it out with anything else. Just broke 92k on it. Love it!

I purchased my first TRD off road premium for 38,200 new in 2019. I miss those prices purchasing a new 2022 a few months ago.

Damn! I paid $38.6K in January of '19 for an ORP with KDSS.

Nice! 4 years on the 18th here. :)

Yes, that's very close to what I paid in January of '19. 91K miles on mine now.

    Awesome! Congratulations on your purchase!

8 days. 2023 ORP, Lunar Rock. MSRP $50,688. I did pay $2K over MSRP - lots of extended haggling and possibly could have done a little better, but they are in short supply and I wanted it. I am well aware 2024 or 2025 should bring a completely new updated 4Runner, but I didn't want to wait, and when I see the 6th generation, its very possible I will be glad I bought 2023.

What did you pay if you don't mind me asking? I have the exact same 4R with 33,800 miles. I just saw a 21 Lunar Rock Pro with 33,000 miles advertised for $51,222 this week in Warranton, VA.

I thought the higher interest rates would start to curb these crazy used car prices but the 4runner seems to be a better investment then the market.

Yea, I really liked that FJ Cruiser. I would have probably traded it in on another FJ if they were still being sold in the U.S. But no regrets on the 4Runner. Same running gear and a few more creature comforts.

Great! Thanks for the update! Good to have some comparable data. But, I plan to keep this 4R for a dozen years or more!

Enjoy it! I still get compliments on the color!

FWIW, I bought my Limited in June 2020. My dealer is an MSRP dealer. They're quite good about not tacking on BS to inflate the price -- let alone phony market adjustments -- but don't like to negotiate either. It took me several weeks of haggling but I got mine at about 9.25% below sticker. Plus an excellent value on my trade. Plus an APR of 2.49%. So I was happy with all that. Sure would be hard to match that these days. Prices may fall but hard to imagine interest rates like that for at least the next couple years.

All three of mine have been similarly equipped... I got my 2018 (MSRP around $42k) for $36,000. I got my 2020 in December of 2019, MSRP again around $42k, for $36,500 (Traded it a year later for $43-ish), and got my current one in September of 2021 for full MSRP of $44-ish.

    2010 Limited 4WD - Owned 14 years - crossed 260K two weeks ago

-Engine runs perfectly (knock on wood)
    -No leaks
-Needs some suspension work - bushings I think? Slight wobble
    -Replaced brake rotors
    -Replaced gas tank sending unit
-Replaced nav and center console with Apple Play and Android Auto system
    -No rust or oxidization
-Replaced headlight assemblies because of clouding and restoration techniques don't work
    -Replaced some cosmetic interior items
-Need to replace window pocket weather stripping - probably not cheap, so maybe not worth it at this point?

    Hoping / Waiting for 2025 Gen 6
Can I, should I go to 300K or sell while I still can?
