Finally looking over the new to us 21 4 runner with 41k.
I was greasing drive shafts then checking everything under the truck today.
The front axel shafts at the front diff have a lot of play in my opinion, drivers side has the most. No oil leaks just excessive play in my opinion. Maybe 1/16 in and out and about half that up and down
I don't see anyway to upload a video.

I know this isn’t a direct comparison, but my ‘06 Tacoma (4 cyl, made in Japan) has had the same driver’s side axle play since new and it has never been an issue in the 17 yrs I’ve had it. Saw many people on forums say it needs the bushing replacement, but it still goes into 4WD just fine and has never been a problem.

Ya since I found this today I have donne a lot of searching. Some people are saying new ones on the lot have a lot of play.
I just don't like it but if it's normal not going to waste my time at the dealer to get it checked out.
I did buy the 7 year 100k bumper to bumper zero deductible warrenty thru Toyota do to the fact this was a rental before we got it, it was certified but I'm guessing they don't check everything
