Sign me up for the "Load E lovers" group. :D If they made a "Load Z" I'd be running them. I like my truck to feel like a truck, and don't mind the stiffer ride at all (and I hardly notice it with tires...stiffer coil springs, for sure). I love the added peace of mind from the thicker sidewalls and overall build.

I'm in an F150 with load range E tires right now (275/60R20 so not much sidewall) and it isn't too bad. 4Runner only weighs about 400lb less than my F150. As for weight, Toyos in 'E' are less than Falkens in 'C'. I ended up going with stock size because the 275's are out of stock. I'm not impressed with BFG ATKO2's, Falkens are heavy and Grabber ATx (what I have now on my truck) are not good in rain. I haven't tried the Toyo's but my experience with their AT2's was positive so...I'm gonna try those.

This is no joke. I would be over the moon if any one can give me $1000 for the 5 Falken 285s I have on my Limited..:p So I can use that money + spend another 300-400 for lighter tires like Cooper / Toyos.

I feel your pain. I just put stock size BFG KM3's on my 4Runner when I bought it (9k miles ago), and now I wish I'd gone with Toyo Open Country MT's in 255/80R17. I find myself in the odd position of wishing my almost new tires would wear our super quickly. :D
