Interesting, I’d have to witness a before and after Dyno test to confirm it’s not snake oil.

Nick dyno tests all of the engines he builds, trying different carburetors, intakes and exhausts systems to see what works best for a particular engine. Not Toyota, but you get the idea.

It’s certainly possible, intake tracks are tuned to make power at specific rpm’s; and similarly to exaust tuning lengthening the runners lower the resonant frequency moving the peak torque point lower in the rev range.

Notice that he doesn’t claim any increase in total HP, just a change to the torque peak.

I had a spacer on my 05 g35. I did a dyno run for baseline, then installed the spacer, then did another run on the same day. It was good on the midrange torque but I realistically couldn't feel the difference. I don't remember which spacer or what the numbers were. It was probably around 20ft/lbs in the middle.

No gain on these things. If there was something, wouldn't you think the Yota engineers would have spec this thing and sell it to all of us. Same goes for these intakes kits. I tried one in my taco and nothing..just looks nice and shiny. My 2c.

I remember this popping up years ago on the Tacoma forums. The guy made claims and all that but then he was gone. Generally a longer manifold increases torque but at the expense of power. The 1GRFE has a 2 stage manifold already.

I've got an AFE throttle body spacer and an HPS air intake to put on mine. It'll be a little while before I put them. These, along with a Borla Touring exhaust, will be installed just before I take the truck to get a KDMaxx tune put on it.
