Anyone in Austin (or within a couple of hours drive) that knows of a reputable shop that will treat the undercarriage with Fluid Film?

Have a 2021 and no rust yet but don’t want to chance it and I din’t have the facilities to apply it myself.

Another place to check is on the fluid film website and type in your zip code. They have shops listed. For me not too many listed in my area but might be a starting point.

Frequent wash if roads salty and fluid film Inside of the frame. It doesn't make sense to fluid film outside of frame if you are going to wash your rig because it will not stay on for entire season. I can't imagine not washing the truck whole winter just to keep that protective coat on.

I wondered the same thing. I have no need for rust treatment living in NM...

Mine really doesnt wash off from underbody car washes. There are some areas where road spray tends to where it off, but car washes not so much.

Yup, but not as quickly. Depends on how north you are in Texas. We see a lot more rain than NM and snow is common Dallas and north of that.

I also plan to hit the mountains so will be at times where there is road spray that will be more corrosive.

Sounds like I need to wash often and do the basic coats that the car wash offers.

Good points, this type of treatment seems to be geared towards heavier exposure to salt, etc.
