When I had the timing belt done a while back the mechanic who did it ran the wire for the cam sensor across the serpentine belt. The wire has finally rubbed through enough to turn on the engine light. The engine starts, runs, and idles completely normal. I have an appointment to get it fixed on Friday but I need to drive it before then. Basically what I am asking is it safe to drive it like that until then or is it best not to?
