Many of you have our 4 runner plate, and some of you I am sure are looking at it. We recently did a slight facelift on our 4 runner transmission plate to better the coverage on it.

Many of you already know, I started this a year ago in my garage, and the 4 runner was one of our first products. A few months ago I upgraded the old tape measure for a 3d scanner and was able to update the 4 runner design a bit to offer a little more coverage. If you have our old plate don't worry though, we still have not heard of a single cat being stolen with your plates on.

Another big feature we are adding is optional welded in reinforcing ribs. These are two vertical flanges that we will weld down the center of the plate. This will greatly increase the strength of the plate for off-road applications.

Now time for some pictures!!! This is installed with the factory skid plate. We are hoping to get some photos with it installed with our front skid plate soon.

Also, right behind this we are going to be releasing our Transfer Case skid plate. I am waiting on our new press brake to make the bends more accurate, but the designs are almost complete!

    Here is a teaser photo!

I have a feeling people might be interested in the integrated plate with a oil drain cut out as well. I guess that will fit for both those who have regular front skid and TRD Pro skid? Just a thought. Glad you are here in the forum.

That is on the table. I really need to scan a TRD pro skid, but I am pretty sure the other skid is the same dimensions.

Also, we have not tested this new plate with a limited, or KDSS. I know they have a few extra lines that go around the crossmember. If you are in the Houston area with a KDSS or Limited truck bring it by, and I'll scan it and hook you up with a shield for your time.

From the photos it looks like the cat shield completely covers the pipes and the cats themselves. That may create an overheating problem for the cats. Have you done any testing or analysis of this?

that transfer case skid plate looks interesting. Is it going to provide coverage over the exhaust pipe that crosses to the side?

Yes, It will bend down for clearance of the pipe as well.

That exhaust pipe is probably the only thing I do not like about the 4 runners and tacoma! I don't think I am alone there either.
