Wheel options for KO2s? Don't want to go past 8 wide.

2012 Limited, currently running 275/55/20 on OE spoke wheels, ya 7in wide. They have 59,600 miles with 8/32-9/32 remaining. No issues...rubbing, irregular wear patterns.
Have been excellent. Very good looking over OE. I know 7in is narrow, and not recommended. But the above disproves all of that.
I want to stay with the KO'2s and this size. What are the proven wheel size options that have been run out here. Don't really want to go past 8 wide. I know this subject has been beat to death but I know someone can give me a great recommendation. Just a soon stay with the 7 in. stock 20in rim, but want options. Thx!

What happens running 12.5 wide tires on narrow 7in wheels...

    To much air pressure.

Yep, I watched that video recently, he said he runs the new tires at 46 psi. Way too high.

And personally I think a 12.50 is too wide of a tire for these anyway, but that's just me.

Where did 12.5" width come from? 275/55-20 tires are 10.83" wide...or is that just to say people have been running even wider tires on a 7" wheel w/out issue?

This is my Runner with Falken 285/70/17 MT’s with about 30,000 miles on them, i run 44 psi. in the front and 34 psi. in the rear. Unless i load it down, then i adjust the air.

This is correct. When the center of the tread wears out 1st, its too much air pressure.

When the outsides of the tread (both inner & outer) wear out 1st, its too little air pressure.

I’m running 285/70r17 on the OEM TRD pro wheels as well…have aired down to as low as 15-18 PSI on the trail with no issues. Normal street driving I run them around 36-38 PSI, or more if I’m loaded up. Rotating every 5K miles and they’re wearing perfectly.

I personally know of someone running a 295/70r17 (11.6” wide) on the OEM TRD Sema wheel without issue as well.

I wouldn’t sweat the width as much, but at the end of the day do what you’re comfortable with since you’ll be the one driving the truck!

If you read the last part of my post, you'll see I was just trying to clarify what you were saying. Sorry if you were insulted by a legitimate question, and no need for a condescending attitude.
