Duro or Energy suspension bump stops

Looking for recommendation for front and rear bump stops, Duro, Energy, Timbren or something else. Thanks.

Think about your suspension, your bump stops should be matched to that and your use.

Are you a casual wheeler? A simple suspension and stock bump stops are perfect.

Are you a rock crawler? You may want more travel and so after market stops can help.

Are you a desert racer? You may need hydraulic bump stops.

You get the picture. Figure out your plan and go from there.

Thanks Nova OEM front bump stops on these trucks are like hockey pucks, I'll try an inexpensive Energy Suspensions urethane bump stop and if that doesn't do it then move on to a larger Timbren hollow rubber stop with lifetime warranty. Was wondering if any posters had negative comments about any of these aftermarket bump stops particularly at -30C temperatures.

I could use a little education. How much of a role do bumpstops play in the suspension? My understanding is that they are there to make sure shocks dont get compressed to their physical limits. And that you might need them after getting a lift because the compressed travel limit may happen before reaching the bumpstop (still trying to understand that one).

But are the aftermarket ones designed to play an active role by helping the shocks? Does it help? Or are the fancy ones for people who bottom out all the time.

 

I’m running the OEM stops, so far so good.
