Hey all, first post here. I'm a new 4runner owner. Just got my 2023 SR5 Premium about a week ago and I am loving it! I have just under 200 miles on it. Tonight I went into my garage at abut 11:00 pm and heard a humming sound coming from under the 4runner. Seemed to be towards the rear. It was like the sound of a small electrical motor running. I couldn't pinpoint it, so I grabbed my key and pressed the ignition button to turn on the electrical only (no engine). The noise stopped, and didn't come back on. This was the first time I noticed this. Has anyone experienced anything like this before? I'm not familiar enough with the vehicle to know if this is normal, but I was worried if I let it continue it would drain the battery overnight.

    Any thoughts???

The manual mentions it. It’s an EVAP test the truck performs on its own.

Good to know that's what it is lol. I went out the other night and heard that. The Wife and I spent 10 minutes walking around the vehicle trying to figure it out.

When sleeping in the 4R, it's especially unsettling, before you know what that sound is, to be awakened in the middle of the night and wondering if something is about to catch on fire or self destruct:)
