Pulls to the right

    Just purchased a ‘19 4 Runner. It had 100 miles on it when purchased. I have had it in the shop 2x because it pulls to the right (more than I consider normal). The first time they adjusted the alignment and said it was slightly off. Second time they checked the tire pressure. Said all was fine. I have always owned Chevrolet’s. Do 4 Runners just naturally pull to the right, excessively?

    Mine has driven pretty straight from the get go. Seems odd that it’s pulling to the right with the alignment in spec.

    Unless the brakes are slightly grabbing on the right side of the vehicle. Or there’s some kind of rolling resistance on that front right week that’s causing the pull.

    They switched the front two tires and did a realignment again. It made it a little better, but still pulls. Ug

    I have the same problem. Before and after it was lifted. Had it aligned twice since the lift. Going back to the shop in a couple weeks. I may switch the tires from passenger to driver side to see if that makes a difference. It’s more noticeable on the freeway.

    Mine is not lifted. I notice it at 50 mph and more. Ug. I just thought it would be “tighter.”

    Mine tracked true before the lift, and after the lift. Find a good alignment shop.

    My 19 pro came with the steering wheel offset to the left around the 11 o clock position and pulls hard to the right. Dont bother taking it to the dealer because i doubt they will have competent guys to take care of it. I'll align it myself when when i have some time, its just annoying it came like that

    Excessive road crown? If not get it aligned...Mine actually pulls either right or left now depending on the road crown. I guess it's setup pretty neutral. I did take it back to get a free alignment from the dealer when it was a few months old as it was pulling excessively to the right.

    this problem and others I am reading about concerns me. I have 2018 sr5prm and seems fine now, but.... should I consider getting out of this vehicle in the next year or so. I want a vehicle that is without problems and stays that way. I had in the past an 04 and 07, and no problems.

    I run my own performance shop, we do alignments here. This is not a road crown issue, but I'd rather do the alignment myself then take it to Toyota.

    3" Icon Stage 2, 18x9 Fuel Beast wheels, 285/65/18 BFG KO2's, N-FAB Black Rock Rails w/removable steps.
    Whaaaa.... no reason to panick... just an alignment issue. There are definitely places you do and do not want to have your alignment done... but you don't know that until you try to have it done. Do a little research for local shops. Lifts, tires, wheels, spacers,...etc. all can have an effect.

    Hey all, bumping this thread as have a question about this issue in my 4Runner. So mine is brand-new, a 2023 ORP. It has a problem where it seems to track to the right some, however the roads here all tilt to the right side from the perspective of the vehicles on them (technically it would tilt to the left on the left side if you drove it on the opposite side). So I thought this meant it had an alignment issue but then I tested driving it a few times on the left side (on deserted side roads) and on those, it tracks to the left some and if driving in the center, it seems to go straight. I am trying to find a truly flat road to test it on.

    So I am confused. Is this an alignment issue or just a weird road crown issue? I am afraid to take it anywhere for an alignment "fix" as I don't know if it needs an actual fix or not and am afraid that they could seriously mess it up. I did check the tire pressures and they all seem fine.

    That is gravity working the way its supposed to... The vehicle is trying to go downhill ( the direction of the crowning of the road). Thats why it does it to what ever side you are driving on. Totally normal.

    265-70-17 Ridge Grapplers, TRD Pro rims, 3M precut bra, N-Fab nerf/steps
    Last summer when I had the spacer lift removed, 265’s installed and realignment. I noticed the alignment was a bit off. Didn’t track quite right and pulled slightly to the right.

    I had the dealership recheck the alignment and apparently they didn’t get the toe quite right.

    They redid the toe in and it’s been fine ever since. My impression with the 4 runner is that it is a little more influenced by the crown of the road than vehicles with a longer wheel base.
