I just discovered this on my Canadian version 2022 Off-Road 4Runner and I find it actually works pretty decent. I like the fact it saves you the constant manipulation with the steering stock switch.
Anyone else using this feature? I haven't seen any posts recently about it.

I have it on my 21 ORP. I do not use it.
    1.) It has some issues
2.) When some @ss has his high beams on, i want to hit them back. So I'm not trying to fumble for the button.

So I just leave it off and manually use it.

Works fairly well. Drove straight through from AZ to WY and back. Quite a bit of night driving. Gets "confused" with some signs and overpasses. A few times it didn't respond to oncoming traffic so I got flashed a bit. Liked the convenience. It's not perfect.

For point #2 you can still flash people if you want even if the button is on auto high beams

I've tried it a few times and it's been horrible for me, signs confuse it constantly, and flashes the opposing driver by kicking up and down for whatever reason. I've given up on it.

I think most people use it incorrectly. It's meant for dimly lit roads but I see people have it on in the city.

I only used mine outside the City as you would with high beams normally, it was country road signs and such that were triggering it up and down for me.
