So I got my lightbar installed and the Cali Raised OEM switch wired up. The thing I noticed is that the switch sits too far back into the dash and thus doesn't allow the switch to stay on/engaged. I put some electrical tape to get it to sit a little further out and it sort of works. Just wondering if anyone else had a solution to this issue and/or if there were other makes that worked better in the the factory dash slots.

I wonder moving to a different spot in dash would work better. Would you try to move the switch to this location?

Do you plan on other accessories? At some point you might want to check out switchpros or spod or something like that.

    Cheers

I had the same exact issue with an OEM style switch (possibly CH4X4) that I ordered with my light bars recently. It just doesn’t sit or operate like the other factory switches.
Did some research and promptly ordered the AOB version as suggested by the gentleman above.

I had only tried the 4 openings down below and none of those positions worked. Didn't try the 2 above as pictured.

You better send me a goodie bag if this spot works..:p

It was an easy spot to turn on an off without looking too.

AOB switch arrived today, 3 days CA to NY via USPS. Installed earlier, and switching action is much better - only requires a light touch for on/off. Where as the other one needed a much firmer tap, also sticks at times.
AOB’s wiring is a bit different, if you are not familiar with it, I suggest trying the red and green wires’ combo before joining permanently. Their text and symbol can be wired to lit up separately - I only want symbol lit when on. Took me a couple of tries.

Got my AOB switches today. Got my Roof lightbar one installed and it clicks and works correctly. I just need to rewire it so that part of the light works when the interior lights are on and then fully illuminated while the switch is turned on.
