Just picked up a 97 Limited 4runner. The back window is the only one working atm. Switched out the drivers side switch panel, wiring harness, tested the motor and it works fine. I’m curious if anyone is familiar with the integration relay or anything else that would cause none of the windows or controls to work. Sunroof does not work either. TIA

2014 Neglected by the previous owners 2020 is an abused former rental... 2023 New I've been buying above my pay grade ☹️
Gut feeling is that the lockout switch/circuit that keeps passengers and children from messing with the windows might be functionally challenged.

One of my diagnostics would be to individually power each of the motors. Another would be to activate the switches and use a voltmeter to see what's happening on the business side of the switch. How deep is the OBD system on that generation?

I got it working. On the back of the relay integration are a few relays. They had taken one out. Got a few from the pick n pull and now all the windows work. Also fixed the sunroof.

If you're lucky, they used it to just replace another relay and just never bought another one.

Otherwise...there's a reason it was removed...and you'll find out what it was soon. :)

Lol yeah I hope you aren’t on to something. I’m hoping the previous only stole it for his other 4Runner that is his daily. So far everything works fine. On to the ac now.
