Seen a lot of people running ko2 or grapplers. Wanted to see if anyone is running these tires. Interested in those because the price is appealing and they look good. Want them in 285/70/17.

Love mine. Snow and ice rated, awesome traction in snow. 55k mileage warranty. I had the original BFgoodrich at's and they would break loose in light rain like crazy. Hated them for that. I've had good luck with toyo open country's as well. But the faulkens are cheaper. I paid 179 a tire.

    I gotchu ;)

I have Falken 285/70/17's in the standard load range. I went with the standard load because I travel 30 minutes to work and will pretty much never rock crawl.

They have been mounted for approximately 10,000 miles now and I have no complaints. They are quiet, ride nice and don't show any out of the norm wear. They were easy to balance and have not needed adjustment.

I have run them in flood and blizzard conditions. The tires performed similar to my KO2's and far superior to my Duratracs in wet conditions. In snow they were planted and ran great.

I did lose one tire to mystery freeway debris. The marking on the sidewall looked like a 1/2 diameter bolt but I never found it.

My freeway gas mileage remains at 21mpg as long as I don't drive like an ass.

All in all, I think they are fantastic tires. I've run Toyo A/T's, Duratracs, KO2's and now these Falkens. When I need new tires I will more than likely be sticking with the Falkens. You especially can't beat the price. I purchased mine from tirebuyer.com for less than $600 delivered to my door.

265 and 275 series tires will fit the TRD Pro wheels. The 285 fitment is not recommended by the wheel or tire manufacturer. Having said that, many people have mounted 285's and larger on the TRD Pro wheel.

Did you have to do any wheel well modifications for rubbing? I'm looking at the same setup.

What lift do you have and how does it ride, wanna do a 2" all around also. I was thinking about doing bilstein 6112s up front and the 5160d in the back. Not sure about rear springs

Solid setup, should net around 2". I went with the 2" Toytec springs in rear and it came out to be around 2.5" really. If I had more weight there it would probably drop it closer to 2"

I have the TRD Pro suspension (which might as well be the 6112's) with the 2" Toytec lift for TRD Pros. Its basically a new bottom and top spacer in the front and springs in the rear. Rides better than stock with less nose dive when braking.

I have Duratracs now and even thought I get them at cost, ill be going to the AT3w's. Ive sold several sets an I really like them. They balance great, cant say that for some of the recent sets of Duratracs. They arent any louder on the road and look great too. I love the 3 Peak rating and the 55k rating. I have Toyo AT2's on my Expy and I like them...but they are only P-metric. Ive sold family members those too and they like them as well.

I still have the stock spare. I've read on a couple forums that a 285 will fit in the spare location without issues.

Put new wheels and tires on today. I did notice in a stock P265/70R17 a small rub on the wheel well liner on the front driver side when reversing with the wheel cranked hard. Smooth riding and with a drop from a 20" to a 17" I'm hoping to see an improvement in fuel economy. I've driven enough to see it won't hurt MPGs. Time will tell though.

Great info, thanks for the feedback. Looking into getting a set of these for my wife’s T4R. A small local tire shop is quoting me $575 installed for the 265/70/17 standard load. Just got her wheels in, so we are pretty stoked to see them on her rig.
