    Does anyone know if the hood scoop on the 2017 T4R is functional or only for looks? Thinking of putting a small light bar in that space if it does not actually serve a purpose outside of cosmetically. TIA

    It's not functional as an air intake, but I like how it effectively minimizes/eliminates hood vibration.

    I agree with topdec. The hood on our '15 Wrangler vibrated badly at highway speeds even though we had paid extra to have Jeep put in a hood lock. The 4R is quiet as a mouse, although some breathing holes might have been useful there. - Ted

    Not yet, just got the winch installed so compressor and lights are next.

    I am pretty sure it adds 10 hp...LOL

    That is good as I am used to a lot more hp and torque...hard getting used to the lack of hp in these trucks
