NYC accident - was this someone on the forum?

Yesterday I walked by a pretty bad accident scene on 5th Ave and 12th St in Manhattan. Multiple cars involved and it looked like a 4Runner TRD Pro that was parked on the street became collateral damage.

 

Gotta love the KO2s in NYC.

NYC sucks.

 

And blows.

 

Ha! I have a love/hate relationship with this city.

 

the big apple.....look out for the worms...lol

 

And that matters why?

 

Because it’s about as mildly odd as a 4runner in NYC. Or as a Tesla in Nome Alaska with all season tires.

 

Not so odd. 60 minutes from Midtown and you could be off road in the Hudson Valley. In and around Harriman for example.

 

Not odd at all. There’s great off roading in the Catskills which is just outside of Manhattan. Not to mention the city streets themselves are basically a mild off road course.

 

And with the conditions of nyc pavement… I would put AT tires on a Prius and lift it if I have one.

 

When I was spending lots of time in NYC for work I was surprised to see how much nature is a stone throw from Manhattan. Even the Appalachian Trail is like 25 miles out of town.

 

I saw a couple of nice homeless guys vaccinating each other on the sidewalk last week. Sh it hole.
