Friggen MICE!

Todays kill was waiting for me in the garage this morning, the cats killed and hauled it through the dog door for me. That's three squirrels in the past few weeks......killing machines.....go to the pound and get a cat. Before cats I used glue traps that worked for mice and blue skinks, but that only traps them........ then you gotta get the hammer.

 

Have the same under hood rodent repeller under the hood and inside the vehicle, where I sleep, and the ultrasound is NOT sensed by the human ear. My dog travels with me too and she does NOT seem to sense it nor does it bother her in any manner.

For those asking if it repels rodents or not; I've had it installed for about 9 months now without any wires chewed since. A previous vehicle (NOT soy-based wires) did have nests and wires chewed three times in the six years (2006-12) I owned it.

Does it drain the battery? According to the description, "Low voltage protection, automatically stops working to protect the vehicle battery when battery voltage drops below 10.5 (±0.2) volts," which might be too low to start a 4Runner. However, both of mine are connected to the house battery.

While NOT an endorsement, worth the try.

FWIW, I've had mine connected for about a year and my truck has started every time. Standard single battery set-up.

 

If you let your starter battery discharge to 10.5V it’s probably going to be hosed.


Although these rodent repellent devices generally draw very little current from the battery, if you’re going to be storing it for long periods of time you might want to connect a battery maintainer to it.

 

I bought some Mighty Mint spray from Target and sprayed it all over my engine bay.
