Hey all, so recently my dad and I replaced my TPS on my 85’ 4runner and the results have been mixed. For starters we first tried to skip the multimeter phase by just adjusting it while it’s all connected and running. Didn’t work, so we pull it and do it the right way. Okay so now it fires up but doesn’t run. Two days later all of a sudden it runs but no throttle response. On open throttle it just revs up in slow intervals then eventually dies. What could this possibly be? We have plugged another ecu in and checked all fuses.

These have an airflow meter and your description sounds allot like a failing air flow meter.

Here's a print out from alldata with pinouts and ohm readings, good luck!
