Hello - I am trying to get a new "blank" for the spot where the SOS button would be in 5th gen 4runners. Mine is a 2019. I drilled a hole in mine and installed a garage door opener in it - nice and discrete like. I am trading my 4runner in and would like to keep this for my new one (unless I get a prem with homelink). Anyways, for the life of me, I cannot find that part number anywhere. I have searched high and low, even different toyota parts sites. I will call the dealer tomorrow to see if I can get anywhere, but be nice if someone knew or had the full parts diagrams. Here is a pic of the location: thanks

Thanks for the bump... but I do not have homelink. I am guessing you looked at the pic (not my pic, but shows the blank clearly) and saw that that particular car may have homelink... Mine does not, and why I added a hidden opener in the spot the photo shows. This is the location of the SOS feature if the vehicle has it, which mine and the pic above, does not.

I just need the part number of that blank please.

Took it out tonight to see if there were any part numbers on the back, but nada. Give a good look at it though.

I’m in a similar situation, having a gate and garage door that both do not have Homelink. Now, with the recent addition of the 4Runner to the family stable, all the cars have Homelink. I’m thinking it would be cleaner all the way around to convert the gate and door receivers to Homelink rather than carry openers in every car or find a means of stealthy install like the OP.

Find and install a cheap push button switch with a red button. Tell the new owner that for gods sake, don’t push the button, because it’s a passenger ejection seat. ;)
