@McSpazatron, you did a fine job with the woolwax... Does Wisconsin salt or sand in the winter?

Did these a few weeks ago at 67900 miles on the ODO

    Oil and filter change
Greased the propeller shafts. Used moly NLGI#2 for the slip yoke and nom-moly NLGI#2 for the spider joints
    New cabin air filter
    New engine air filter

Todo: got the oil for the differential. 85w is so expensive but I want to follow spec. Just need to find a day when it’s above freezing here in MN

Thank you. :D I consider that crust a beautiful thing lol. Well, as long as it actually does it’s job and keeps rust away, which it seems to be doing.

In the larger metro areas around here, they’ve moved to spraying brine in the last decade or so, some coming from the liquid left over from cheese factories…fittingly.

Just had my suspension upgraded. Went with the ICON Stage 7 Kit. Currently tinkering with the shock settings. Finding my sweet spot. Throwing 285's under there soon as I can.

After all my research. Going back and forth. I ended with a "fuck it" coin toss. I did want an all in one complete solution. Besides, they sent a ton of decals.

What issues? I had Icon on my Tacoma with no problems. I was considering Icon again for my 4Runner.

Can't say I had that issue, but I only had mine for 3 years.

I have Dobinsons now on the 4Runner, but I'm tired of the bounce I get from the rear. Feels like this. Seems like it's getting worse as the temperature drops.

Reminds me new 4runner owners with key fobs should not keep them like those good old keys with chips. Highly recommend key fobs to be kept in RF blocking boxes.

The key fob signal can be disabled by holding down the lock button and pressing the unlock button twice. To re-enable, just click the lock or unlock button once.

Not really soft or stiff, but like the shocks can't completely compensate for the spring rate. Just feels like the gif I posted earlier, but maybe within an inch of travel. I can feel it, and see it in the headlights at night.

I'll see if I can capture a video of the headlights on my drive to work tomorrow

Are they comfort valved, or standard valving? How much weight in the back? How many miles on the shocks? I’ve got IMS, so I’m curious

It's been like this since they were new. I don't remember choosing the valving type, so I'm assuming standard. I only have a tote in the back, maybe 40lbs.

That’s really odd. Mine have been rock solid, and have really good feel and control, and I’m super sensitive and critical about suspension with crappy damping.

Have you talked to crikeymike about them?

edit: just looked up the 705s. It looks like those might be for no lift, and the springs you have are 2.5in lift? The 701s seem to be geared for lifted applications.

I’m not sure where I got comfort/standard valving. Maybe thats how they referred to them before? Or I got them mixed up with the other one. I have to check which ones I have, because I dont remember anymore. I have 1.5in of lift. i’ll see if I can find my paperwork

Looks very nice, what height did you put the fronts at, and what size spacer did you do on the rear?

I bought my setup from Dobinsons Direct. Looks like the IMS59-50705 is comfort valved. Supposed to be for 0"-3" lifts. It doesn't specify for the IMS59-50701, so I'm assuming it's standard valved.

Had to get a new battery today. Cold weather zapped it. Original made it nearly 5 years and 95k miles. Can’t complain.

Since changing all my tires, I had to figure out a way to carry my spare without changing to a swing away. I ended up putting the spare in the same stock location. Pic shows the wheel the other way to show what the spare looks like. I flipped the other way so I don't mess up the wheel.
