As long as you’re near Mammoth, go south a little toward the airport and get on Hot Creek Hatchery Road. Go to the Hot Creek Geological Site. An easy walk to the creek where hot springs bubble into the creek. You used to be able to swim there and it was great. But after a few geyser-like eruptions years ago swimming is now prohibited. Have fun!

 

Well, looks like with all the snow coming there might be less exploring. Thanks though!

 

We got out a bit on 120, it was closed due to snow and was snowing while we were there but damn was it nice! Thank you again!!

I was in southern Utah when that sudden cold blast came through. Pretty chilly camping.

 

Looks like a nice trip, I'm jello. Next time you head that way, let me know and I can hook you up with all the good shizz: hot springs, slot canyon fissures, shiny rocks, indian stuff. That area is my happy place. (I would've given you tips when you first posted, but I was banned at the time for calling a 3 Percenter a cosplay warrior, lulz.)

There is a Toy Run to Georgetown then snow run to Uncle Toms on December 10th. We usually meet up in Rocklin around 8am, drop off toys in Georgetown before 10am, hit up Uncle Toms for the raffle, and then we push to loon lake or something for snow wheeling.

Looks like fun, but I've been on this run and it was also a complete sh** show. I was in terror the entire time of some idiot heeper sliding into me. I guess you need to have the right attitude and /or buzz, haha. It didn't help that I didn't chain up. Have a good time and represent us well!

 

We break off from the yahoos and do our own thing usually. I missed last year but years before we're a blast. I am 50/50 on this year. We might be in Markleeville

 

Same, we never had an issue when we went as a group. It's looking thin this year tho from the taco crowd

 

I would go on this toy drive but just got back from Arizona grand canyon and Lassen national forest for a Christmas tree.. Sounds like fun times. Next year for sure. Godspeed to all going.
