As the title says I've ordered a Full Prinsu Roof rack. I'd like to put down a strip of 3M clear paint protection to cover the contact area the noise reduction strip sits on. Could someone tell me how far back from the windshield the front of the deflector sits at it's closest point. I realized it's curved so I'll put a 6" strip by 48" in length across the roof. I'd like to get this done prior to receiving the rack. I appriciate the help.

As measured from the top of the windshield glass to the bottom of the wind deflector:

    Center: 6 ½”
Ends along lateral weather strip: 4 ½”
    Tips: 4 ⅛”

Awesome. Thank you for the measurements. This will allow me to protect the area in advance to the rack arriving.

Unrelated to measurements but just a word of caution, I'd strongly recommend hand tightening the bolts on your rack. I used a power drill when installing ours and when I needed to remove a cross beam found that I'd over torqued a few of the bolts and while trying to remove them snapped heads off a few :frustrated: – pretty easy to avoid if you use a hand tool or are less overzealous with your drill

Thanks for the heads up. I've seen several YouTube videos and they stress the same thing about over tightening the fasteners.
