    Hi All,

I'm not super knowledgeable on wiring yet, so hopefully someone can help me out on my question below:

I've got a stock V6 88 4Runner. No power windows. No altimeter, cruise, etc. Fairly basic. I wanted to find out if a wiring harness from a 4 cylinder of the same year would be of much use in my 4Runner, or whether they are so different it wouldn't be worth considering.

    Thanks in advance.

First of all there is more than 1 "Wiring Harness" Most people only think of the main trunk one that controls engine, lights, radio and so forth then there are sub harness that may or may not plug into the main one for items like power windows and things like that.
So how about you telling Us what you are attempting to do? (the 4 Cylinder harness will be of a very limited use anyways) however I have taken sections of different ones to make repairs with however not the entire harness.

Thanks for the reply. The harness would be a replacement for the one that is in the truck now. For the first time ever, this past spring a squirrel decided to call the engine bay home and did a nice number on the wires. I figured, being this stuff is so hard to find, getting my hands on a spare harness, if it were to be interchangeable, would be a good precaution.

Not interchangeable only value there is some parts of it can cut off and spliced in for repairs.
