    I'm thinking about switching to Wix, Amsoil or TRD so I get something more resilient.

    Thanks for posting this video. A good reminder.
    I'm sure there are quality after-market filters that are not Toyota. But apparently, their are also "counterfeit" Toyota parts on the market. If in fact that all genuine OEM Toyota parts must one way or another go through a franchised dealer, that would make me suspicious of any Toyota "marked" part being offered outside a dealership.

    I agree, there are probably aftermarket filters that are adequate, but buyer beware if buying parts that are packaged as Toyota genuine parts when in fact they may actually be counterfeit.
