My dealership has an unclaimed allocation for the 40th anniversary.

I’m on a pro so thought I’d pass along if anyone is interested. I can put you in contact.

    Damn that’s a bummer. I’m new
To 4R. I’m heavily knowledgeable on full size trucks but haven’t familiarized with 4R’s yet.

Would the TRD pro have it?

I’m canceling my 23 Raptor because they removed the heated steering wheel

2023 is the first year of the heated steering wheel for US models. Which US is only including it with the limited, pro and any premium model only.

Oh nice that’s good timing. Glad I passed on the lime rush then. Would love the color but would have hated missing that feature

Yep! You wouldn’t have got the nice extra feature. You’d of been pissed haha. Kinda like any new owner of a 2022 when the 2023s are here and have this feature.

I see lots of 2022s still rolling into lots that people won’t get the heated steering wheel.

It’s not the sole reason. But overall I canceled because of Fords continued price hikes and continued vehicle decontenting

Gotcha, ford does seem to be struggling the most out of the big American 3. Not cool that they are ditching there ICE department by 5,000 people or so.

That's not inferno, it's Barcelona red. The 2023 pro (solar octane) is similar to the 2017 pro inferno color *a burnt orange

I wish Toyota had more or better color selection for the 40th anniversary.

Sadly just a cheap money grab, they should have made them trdorps but people are still falling for it. You should see the tacomas, they do similar crap for 2023, they have a shit load of chrome left over so they have "special" chrome edition

That’s what $1,200 a month with insurance for five years looks like?

It’s very sharp but I am one of those guys who would not want those graphics. I think those tape lines are just going to start to fall apart after a few years and have issues and then that would deter from the style.

That’s just me though. I will give Toyota this. They did something on a lower trim model which is theoretically offering something special to more people at a lower price point. Said differently I am glad they did not spice up a Pro model which would push the price up even more. My guess would be they sell more SR5 models over anything else but that’s a hunch.

Yeah, I think SR5 is special trim that runs for a long time (atleast since 90s I can remember when I was a little kid on Hilux), probably why 40th anniversary is based on that.

I think maybe that extra price tag making it more expensive than TRD Offroad is because of special parts like the wheels, grill, badges, graphics just like the TRD Pro with special parts like Toyota branded Fox, wheels, grill, etc that may not justify the price tag / what you are getting for what you paid / you can have much better options aftermarket. But i'm sure some people will look at functional and buy the SR5 premium and use the extra money for better functionality just like people buy TRD Offroad and use the money wisely for better functionality.

    Again, just my opinion.

I completely agree with you! I believe having the SR5 as the 40th Anniversary was a great move from Toyota. Specially from a price affordability perspective and the features you get with it. If it was a TRD Pro, people are still going to complaint with the price gouging etc. What can I say, no matter how you put it people are never satisfied, lol.
