I just bought a 2019 Sr5 4runner with 26k miles. I noticed today that its making a squishy sound at the start of every brake compression. I found this YouTube video of the exact sound its making.

Anyone else experience this? It seems like Toyota knows about it, but has done nothing to remedy it.

It's a Carvana car, so I have 7 days to decide if I want to keep the vehicle.

Two different videos of the same sound! Any input is appreciated!

I had a similar sound in a different vehicle so it may not apply. It turned to be a leaky brake master cylinder.

I had this sound too in my 2010 T4R. Nothing wrong with the brakes, my truck was doing just fine for 11 years. New 2022 doesn't have it I think or maybe I used to it and don't notice : )

That doesn't sound normal to me and does sound like brake fluid is getting passed the seals on the master cylinder piston.

I would try and see if I could insert a wooden skewer or something similar between the rod and rubber booth to see if it comes back out wet with fluid, if it does then there's definitely a leak passed the seals, just be careful not to damage the rubber booth.

Mine does it. Breaks just fine. I think it is pretty normal. Always thought it was anyway. Sounds like some sort of pressurizing...:notsure:
