Stuck 5 speed bell housing

Removed the 6 bell housing bolts removed the lower plate on trans unable to get the bell housing to separate from block any suggestions

Chances are after all this time, you may have a little dissimilar metal corrosion where the bell housing and block meet. Especially if there are alignment pins. Try tapping on the bell housing carefully with a soft faced hammer - such as plastic or rubber on the hammer face.

Is the trans still bolted to the bell housing?
