    Hello folks,
My 2016 4Runner has an oil leak that can only be seen from under the car. I took it to Toyota dealership, they said the timing cover needs to be resealed, but at the same time the dealer advised me to take the car to Greg's Japanese auto because the repair would cost me less there.
I went and got a second opinion from AAMCO Transmission instead and they said there's nothing wrong with my timing cover and the problem is with my power steering pump.
Now I don't know who to believe :angrygirl:

Comparing Dealer vs. Aamco is like comparing herpes to genital warts

You should be able to determine what type of oil leak.
The colors and smell of engine oil differs from Power Steering fluids.
    My take.

The dealership is trying to pass the buck.

If the vehicle is not under warranty, there's absolutely no way I'm taking it to the dealership for repairs, or even their opinion for that matter. I have no idea what AAMCO is and I'm too lazy to Google it, but my recommendation would be to find a reputable shop that knows how to work on Toyotas, get an opinion from them, and forget what you've been told by the first two sources.
