Where is the start of this trail? I live in whiting so this is very close to me. I heard you can trail ride in Wharton state farest, there's videos on YouTube of people riding there

You referring to the Six Flags spot I went to? If you go to Reed Rd in Jackson and take it all the way down you'll hit the trails.

I'll have to check out Wharton State.

Not sure if you are aware, but Armor All will melt the plastidip from your fenders. So be careful if you apply Armor All to your tires.

Armorall as a brand is garbage. Stay far away from it in general.

Got full American Flag decals in for the rear panel windows! Damn CO weather is being nuts, so I'm waiting for a sunny day to install! Hopefully this weekend. Waiting on ditch brackets and LED bar mounts, and I'll have (most) my lighting done. :goingcrazy:

What do you use to wipe down your dash or seats instead of Armorial? I used some armor all wipes and I didn't like the residue that was left behind. I am considering using Adams Interior detailer. Have you had any experience with that brand?

I use the ArmorAll wipes and didn't notice the residue. I am all out of wipe so maybe I will try something different next time.

Armorall will actually void your warranty on Mercedes interiors, says it right in their owner manuals. Personally I love Meguiar's Gold Rich Leather

Told the dealers body shop they need to redo my tailgate. It wasn't aligned quite right, the bottom edge was still rough, the interior panel had a clip not installed correctly, they didn't put the foam pads behind the license plate to keep it off the paint and there were scratches on it that weren't there when I took it in. Sigh.

Silly question, why didn't you bring it to a body shop of your choice? Someplace local that you know has a great reputation? Legally you can bring it anywhere you want. insurance will cover it. Generally dealer body shops are chosen because they're the cheapest and fastest, not a good combo.

I took it to the dealer cause they were the only place I was familiar with after moving back to Vegas and figured they'd know the truck the best (although after reading all of the issues with dealers maybe I shouldn't jump to thinking they'd do the best work). So it was the shop of my choice. Wasn't till it was already in for paint that I found some unfavorable online reviews. In the past I've had as bad if not worse luck with independent shops, so I tend to go dealer on new vehicles.

Yeah generally speaking "dealer" body shops don't exist. Just a cheap shop that the dealer sends vehicles to because they're cheap and fast. The best shops have a full parking lot and a waiting lost a week or two long. Is what it is, live and learn. Hopefully they get it right and you're happy in the end. If not, I would contact Toyota corporate and your insurance company immediately.

Well, it's not really a question of what I did to it, but rather a question of what a deer did to it...

Haven't even made my first payment yet, and as we're driving up to my parent's house (to show off the new truck of course) a deer runs into the side of me and buggers up the driver door and lost part of the fender flair.

5 minutes later my 5 year old daughter starts talking about wanting a pet deer...2cc6345a8217308eaca832c0020be0f6_7671f78534e42860b3691ac330cca19ae29a7a1a.jpg

LOL i'm sorry I know the situation isn't funny but the pet deer comment is lol. Sounds like something one of my kids would say. Deer belong on my plate, not as a pet!

She broke the tension with that statement for sure.

Having grown up in the hills, I'm actually surprised I've only hit 2 deer in my life (and various other animals, including a vulture). Funny thing is the rental rv in front of us had a close encounter with a couple deer about 5 or 10 miles earlier.

Oh well, this is why we have insurance...

Yeah live and learn. The body shop is actually associated with the dealer(s). It's AutoNation Toyota and their AutoNation collision center. They serve all the AutoNation dealers and originally the guy said there was a week lead time. They'd had it 10 days when they said it was ready. Waited for parts. They said it'd probably need both hinges and a new tailgate but then changed that to just one hinge. Was kinda hoping they'd replace the whole thing since I got insurance involved. Supposed to get it back Tuesday. We'll see. If not I'll be making phone calls.
