Does anyone with a 5th gen TRD pro exhaust that they will ship or meet up with? Omaha, Nebraska area. Reasonable priced. The fewer miles, the better

It drones so much I'm selling mine after 3 weeks with it but I'm not near you and it's for $800 because it was $937 new.

I have a TRDP so I just put OEM back on. When the Pro exhaust sells, I'm looking into Magnaflow.

I wish I could just swap with a stock resonator (or whatever that thing is called) to have a quiet interior. But sadly they have different mount.

I think most people exaggerate and make it sound like it's a bad sounding exhaust. I went from a stock SR5 exhaust to the side exit TRD exhaust and the sound is a just a bit deeper but subtle compared to non TRD stock exhausts. I don't find it droning at all. Great upgrade if you just want deeper subtle sounding exhaust but not something obnoxious.

I thought the same as well so I bought it. Nope, they were right. 2K drones. It's fine if you're flooring it because you jump away from 2K but I drive normal most of the time and it drones.

I heard of those; it sounds like they may be much louder than I would like.

That's the goal, I want something a little better than stock without the fake v8 sound

Does it sound as bad as a Ford raptor with exhaust?

Is the trd exhaust really that loud? What rpms and speeds does it drone at?

My TRD ORP came with the TRD PRO exhaust. I found it droned and was fatiguing. I changed to the stock exhaust with-in two weeks of ownership. Sold my TRD PRO exhaust and purchased a little used stock one from forums members - I came out break even.

It’s personal preference. I have no issues with mine, but maybe I’m tone deaf or something. The Magnaflow is also a great option, but personally I didn’t want to spend the extra money for it.

I am also use to an N1 axle back on my 02 is300.

My wife also has no issues with its sound and she can hear an ant fart coming out of a dead sleep.

My only concern with it is seeing some post about the tip getting rusty even with the coating.

    good luck with your decision

    Agreed^^^

Kinda like art. Some like it some don’t.

Admittedly my well used (don’t judge me) ear drums aren’t happy with the downshift drone on this exhaust. It happens often out West with plenty of hills and mountains.

Verdict still out on whether will swap or not.

I have stock size KO2's in a C load rating which probably need to get replaced soon. I think the sound of the tires are worse than the exhaust. I wonder if the same people complaining about the TRD exhaust have larger than stock AT tires as well...:notsure: ?!?

Pro exhaust was totally fine running around town, or at lower speeds, or if the speed fluctuated a lot (like stop and go traffic). Long road trips is where we noticed it the most and we had a 40 hour road trip coming up, so I switched to stock and have no complaints since doing so.

It's a straight swap (two pieces - resonater and the pipe immediately before it), sometimes you can find a Pro owner and a non-Pro owner willing to trade.

I would love a pro exhaust on my beastie! Doubt I’d hear it much over my 285’s though.

My 2023 4R TRD Pro comes in mid-late July. I'm already planning on swapping TRD exhaust with stock or similar. Let me know if you are interested.
    I'm in VA.
Also not sure if 1:1 compatibility. I'll do some research between now and then. I'm pretty handy and have a garage / tools. Hoping to do this without paying labor.

If you are ok to swap the entire cat back its 1:1 compatibility. But if you are like me who want to keep the side exhaust and just want to swap the noisy resonator, then that's a welding job having to pay a muffler shop because the rear portion is 2 bolts on other trims vs 3 bolts on the TRD Pro exhaust.

Have a new TRDP as well. Agree with the sentiment around putting around town it's fine. Anything long distance it's annoying. Between the roof rack and the exhaust the cabin is noticeably louder than any of my previous ORP's.

It is a little drony, but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest. That being said, think the exhaust has been swapped out on most of my trucks, the loudest being true dual straight pipes on my 5.8 Bronco. This is like a Prius compared to that.
