Newbie in KY

Just put a deposit down on a ‘23 Lunar Rock ORP. Been lurking for a few months and was originally planning to start the purchase process in a few months but wife’s car lost coolant, overheated and died last Thursday so plans changed. Wife had a connection to the owner of local Toyota dealer - got in touch with them Saturday and luckily they had what we wanted already allocated but no buyer. Supposed to be leaving Japan today and should have it early November. Ended up with a few options we didn’t necessarily want (MTM & Predator Side steps) but not worth waiting for a different one. First mods will be to add a MillerCat shield then probably RCI skid plate.

Welcome to the forum. I have the aluminum RCI front skid with black powder coat, and just ordered a MillerCat stainless steel cat shield yesterday. I'll let you know what I think of the shield, it should be here Thursday. The RCI skid is a quality piece of equipment. I considered adding the RCI transmission skid and additional wings for the cat protection, but it's too pricey of an option for me - $582+ w/shipping vs. $380.

 

Awesome. That was my same line of reasoning to go with MillerCat shield vs RCI trans skid and wings.

 

E-town is actually where my wife's car died last week. She's working at the construction site for the new Ford battery plant. On her way home she hit a tumbling chunk of concrete on I-65 that put a hole in her radiator.
