I need a print that has the OEM alarm system, I want to replace the alarm module with another.
Would be great if I could just use the wiring from OEM unit if I knew where it was, and how its wired.
I have searched without much success, any help would be great.
Does not one person on this forum have a good repair manual with prints, or they just have no clue how to read prints?

Thanks for the lack of help, I figured out the majority of the system, it is a toyota alarm system, but it is not from factory, it is added on at the dealers.
So chances of finding this in prints is very low, probably non existing.
I assume the alarm came with wiring diagram originally for installation, but that probably doesn't exist anywhere.
There was 2 adapters that they thigh in to existing harness, one is the starter interrupt that is before ignition switch and the other I don't know what its for is on the drivers side near fuse block, I removed this one and utilized the other for new alarm system.

You're welcome for the lack of help. :)

    FWIW,

I had a similar issue on a Mazda 3. It had a "factory alarm system" but was installed by the dealer and was a Mazda branded version of an aftermarket system. I had to google and google but I did find the install manual on-line. But, this was a 2008 car and your car is so much older that I would think that you are probably right, and no real info is going to be found online. (I reversed the install on the Mazda and yanked it out)

Now, that being said...if it was listed as a "factory" vehicle option, and if it was put in by a TOYOTA dealer, it is probably a TOYOTA kit and MIGHT be findable in the factory service manual for your year. Look for that manual...that should be floating around or as a downloadable PDF on ebay. It was not in the Mazda FSM for me.

The thing that got me to what I needed was finding the Mazda PART NUMBER for the alarm kit. There must be one for TOYOTA. I could google that number and it eventually led me to find alternate aftermarket part numbers which led me to an installer PDF.

It is very typical of Japanese cars built in Japan to get modified by the dealer once in the states. The customer is sold the option as if it was a factory line item, and the dealer just adds it. Sometimes it is added before sale if the dealer really is confident they know their market. This is especially true prior to the 2000s when cars had more options before the Happy Meal option packages reduced consumer choices. I would have been more surprised if you had said it was shipped with that alarm from Japan.

Good luck. The 2nd gens and older are really scarce. Most are gone. Figuring this stuff out is often just what you have to do.

Thanks, that manual isn't much help, anyway I already removed and installed other alarm, I just need to figure out one part I took out that I have no idea what it was for, also need to do some programming changes, disable passive arming and some other features.
Great having the remote to unlock the doors, using the key was a pita.
Hopefully I can help others with what I learned.
Also ended up fixing the stereo volume potentiometer that was dead in some spots.
