Finally getting around to making a RTT for the summer! Still trying to find the ARB RTT Hinges if anyone knows a vender let me know! I purchased a set of 4 from a offroad shop but their vender didn't have them. This is my rough draft right now.

Looks like you got a good start to making one. Here's a copy you tube links to a guy that has made inexpensive RTT's. Also, I have seen where people have used for tents and adapted them to work as RTT.

Finally made the break from those ugly ass SR5 rims that were painted and now faded blueish grey.

Yes Sir, been up there quite a bit over the years. I'm 2 hours SE, so it's not really my neighborhood other than it's Florida.
    Anyways Welcome to the Forum!!

    Question about lifting my 04.
If I get 2021 TRD take off Bilstein shocks will they actually lift my front, or will I need the springs too?
I read about Bilsteins having an adjustable lift, but I think that's a different shock.
I'm wondering if the KYB 4131's I just ordered are going to give me the same lift as TRD take offs. Thanks in advance!

I cant remember for sure, but I think the front lower shock mounts are different sizes between the 4th gen and 5th gen 4Runners. As far as the lift heights, I don't have experience w either shock. Sorry, thats all I got. You should definitely check that lower mount spec, before you commit to the 2021 TRD set. Hopefully someone thats more help will jump in here. Edit: sorry about my manners...Welcome to the Forum!

Thanks for the heads-up! I'm looking at FJ springs and shocks now. They're supposed to give 2" of lift and be direct fit.

Finally got my new Fox 2.5's installed with Camburg UCA's. Got a smokin deal on the the TRD wheels and 285 BFG KO2's, so I couldn't pass them up. Went for an alignment this morning... everything seems pretty good to me driving into work today.

Gonna bump this thread so it stays somewhat active. 6 month hibernation is too long.
Learning more about shock tuning, so I revalved my rear smoothies. They were set up WAY too light (3rd pic). Added more compression and a little more rebound. Also wet sanded the bodies and hit them with a high heat engine clear.
Deleted the hideous factory roof rack, then got the Fiberglass and some cheap $120 headlights mounted up. Pretty happy with the ADV Fiberglass, fitment wasn't too bad. Goobered up the seams on the headlights with 3M 5200 marine sealant. Didn't heat them up, just filled in all the seams I thought might leak. With the hood open they look like hell, but they're still dry after 3 months. Still needs a lot of stuff done...
