So I"m working on my 01 4runner , started out just putting a new overlay on my cluster and decided to replace the bulbs with LEDs . Everything is working but, the speedo and tach lights and also my dome light and heater control lights are not working , anybody have any suggestions ???? All the other dash lights are coming on as they should

Make sure your LED's are in properly. If they are backwards, they won't work.

Also...I had an awful time with my cluster changeover to LEDs. One of the lights worked intermittently and I tried a few LEDs . Gave up and bought stock replacement bulbs from Toyota and it's been perfect.

I tried not getting cheap LEDs but maybe the cluster is just picky.

I found the problem It was the cluster rheostat went bad . from what I"ve read it"s pretty common. dealer wants $185.00 no way i just put a jumper wire in it and it"s working just can"t dim the dash lights

I just looked up the cost of that knob. $145 from McGeorge.

That's ridiculous. Probably spray some contact cleaner in it. It's just a potentiometer. Should be like $5.
