Yeah, that's where I'm at. Trying not to go crazy. Too many decsions for an indecisive person like me. Can't make up my mind on sliders, skids etc. I think it's an illness

LOL I think you might be right. Anyway, I plan on putting a bumper and winch on the front at some point. In speaking with my local shop, they suggested not doing steel because eventually I will add enough weight to really sag the front suspension and will have to then upgrade it to compensate. That was enough for me to decide on aluminum.

Yes indeed. I’ll also replace the stock Dunlops soon, but that’s $1200 v under $200 for the Apex. More likely to get stuck and need recovery with the Dunlops anyway… Have fun with your build!

Too much. Love the look of the -12's with no spacers.

If and when you ever see a doctor for this illness, can you ask if "can't stop mods on my 4runner" is the same? I have this illness. I was going to see a my psychiatrist but I spent the money on modifications.

I just pulled off the APEX recovery points since my bumper is on the way. DM me if you are interested, I can sell them cheap since I have no use for them right now.

Yes it's their Bravo rack. I don't have any experience with other racks to compare it to but I have no complaints.

I just installed the bravo rack to my truck today. I noticed that even though mine and yours are both bravo rack they differ slightly.

Mine is also different from the bravo rack advertised on their website. I figured it could just be their latest model.

I have rrw in -12 offset. These are flush with the flare. Not

Finally someone put those on a 4runner! Is that 265 70 17 xl? Could you take a measurement of how tall the tires are under the weight of the 4runner. Howd they balance? I heard if your index the valve stems with the yellow marks on the tire, these tire balance without much/any weight, also how deep is the tread? Maxxis list it at 12/32 but other report there's are 14/32

Because 265/70/17 (OEM size for most Gen 5's) tire sizes vary so much in shape and actual height/width/weight, it would be tough to say "yes this works" and "no this doesn't work". Suffice to say, on all non Pro models (front suspension height), the further the offset, the greater chance of rubbing will occur with OEM tires. I'm running a VTX -25, 17x9, and yes, rubbing occurs only in reverse at about 3/4 turn radius. Eibach Stage 1 install this week, so will no longer be an issue.

Honest question. With the overhang of their design in front compared to other extruded racks, whats noise like? Aerodynamically, it looks like it would be noisy, especially with a head wind, but I like this design more than others.

-12 is perfect offset, also yes you may rub but it'll be on plastic and it's easy to trim

Eibach stage 1 on BFG KO2 265/70/17... no rubbing at all but there's a noticeable reverse rake and obvious clearance up front (pics). Going to BFG KO2 285/70/17s. Can the front stocks be adjusted (spring clips) to lower the front lift height and still allow room for the 285s? 20220905_113631.jpg

1st pic Left, 2nd pic Right.. obviously set at different heights. Which clip will still allow enougj clesrance for 285s? The shop I used for installation isn't close so I may have to go to a local garage for adjustment.

Looks like you still get the 2.75" lift with the clip on the lowest ring? Anyone keep the driver's side one ring higher to offset the lean/weight from a full tank of gas?

They set the springs way too high on that.

You should be on the lowest clip setting to achieve a 2.75" lift with no additional weight up front.

With the clips on the lowest setting, you will still have PLENTY of room to run 285's.

    I run 285's with a 1.6" lift.

Did your truck have any lean before the lift? If so you can run the drivers side on one clip higher, but only if you need to.

Also, it looks like they messed up which side should be higher.

Appreciate the feedback! Will get them adjusted and a set of 285s before heading out to Rausch Creek Off Road Park in PA on 9/23. I'll post some off-road pics after that weekend.
