So question for you guys. I installed the ECGs bushing today and my only concern is I did not realize it would stick out quite as much as it does past the edge so it had seated and I didn't realize it and was whacking on it for a little while expecting it to go in just a little further I imagine those things are pretty tough or should I be concerned?

Guy in the video called out that it protrudes an estimated 1/16" when the bushing is all the way home.

If you haven't installed a lot of bearings/bushings yet . . . don't worry about install depth where there's a shoulder to prevent going too far like this application. You'll definitely feel it and hear a change in tone when you strike the drift when the bushing is all the way in. Shoulder features in these applications are generally not meant to take a lot of force. They are locating features, not load bearing features.

Ours was almost flush when installed, but more to the realistic... I would say there was less than a 1/16. There are bound to be differences in most of the installs, look at the initial machining when the needle bearing is put on, very sloppy fit. And like Jason said, there is a point when you know the bushing is 'home'.
