Home made canvas topper Ammo can console NWOR roof rack ‘87 SR-5 seats
    Hi All,
I’m still rolling my ‘86 thirty six years and counting. All stock, but on fourth engine, second transmission. Rear window works from inside only. I like to say this is a working truck: I am always hauling tools, supplies stuff. The body is a little rusty on the bottom edges of the rear wheel wells. I made my own canvas topper a few years ago. Pics later:/
I need a good 4Runner mechanic in Bellingham, WA. My old one said the truck was too old.

Congratulations bud--hope you find a good mechanic. Has it been difficult to find parts too--I would think it might be being an 1986?

Nice those are not bad to work on if you plan ahead, Going to be taking something apart? Spray all the bolts up real good with Free-All or some other similar rust cutting fluid and oh the 22R-E Engine good ole the simple life engine as for parts? not hard to get almost everything but again it is Plan ahead because sometimes it takes a few days to get it but you can get almost everything. 2 years ago I helped rewire a 87 engine wire harness system that got chewed to bits we just went and got the Painless wiring harness and it went slow but good.
