Looking to level my 4runner slightly with a spacer. About 1” in the front. Is there any safety issues or handling changes that come with this small change? Will it cause any wear on my suspension?

When I talk to one of my Toyota 4x4 shops they said if you have Toyota Safety Sense as long as you keep factory like front rake you should not have any problems with a lift. Its no big deal.

    Would not recommend.
1" spacer on top of the coilover = about 2" of lift. Extended length is too long and requires bump stop spacer. Coilover will hit upper control arm at full droop. If those issues dont both you and will never go off-road, then its probably fine. Or spend a few more bucks and get the westcott preload kit.

I think OP is looking for 1in lift to give TRD Pro like stance.

If you wanted 1" of front lift, a 1/2" spacer would do the trick. I don't foresee any issues with that.

Thanks for all the input. This helps. So basically a 1/2” spacer in the front will raise the front 1” and give it the Pro-like stance. Cheap as well. Sounds like a win win.

I’ve been in contact with him but my wife won’t let me pull the trigger yet on her new 4R but I def don’t plan on doing any off-roading and would be the best application in our specific case for a leveling kit. I’ve ran spacers on a bunch of trucks and never had a problem as I don’t do any off roading. My 20 Tacoma has the rough country spacer lift and I have no problems with it

Yes anything on top of the shock is a 2:1 ratio. All Cornfed kits come with a lifetime warranty. Take it off road all you want, you won’t hurt them. They’ll literally outlast your 4Runner.

The pro sits .75” higher up front than a non pro. If you want the Pro look, the 3/8” front spacer which provides 3/4” lift is the way to go. Shoot me a text or give me a call 631-202-8245
