Took the SR5 badges off. Did the H11 to H9 low beam swap. The H9s are definitely brighter. Very happy with it. I have some Plasti-dipping to do next along with installing my DD SS3 ditch lights and Trigger Controller.

Changed the transmission and rear diff oil this weekend.

Saved the front diff and transfer case for next weekend.

Pretty easy stuff. I just did a cold drain and fill on the transmission so I didn't have to mess with warming it up to temp and doing the overflow procedure.

You'll need a hand pump (or squeeze bottles) if you don't already have one.

Make sure to get the appropriate crush washers and/or o-rings.

Yeah. That is a weird procedure they make us do now. I usually do it cold by weight unless there was leakage. Another way the dealerships are trying to get cars in as dealer only service

Blacked out badges, window deflectors, smoked 3rd brake light. I have a Borla muffler on order as well as some color matched engine cover stickers. I'll be painting the stock wheels soon as well. Falken tires in the fall as well.
Changed the oil, filter and lubed the u-joints and slip shafts.

I know its hard to see, but the "O's" are upside down. Turn them around and they will space out evenly.

The quick release brackets are definitely worth it. You can take the awning on or off in seconds. Get a couple of pad locks with an oblong shackle and you can lock your awning to your rig using the holes in the brackets.

Added amber film for ghetto fog lights. Looks decent enough, and should hold up since my fogs run cool.

Tell me about your trailer. How well does the 4Runner handle it?

It is a 2018 StarCraft Autumn Ridge 17TH. It’s dry weight is just a hair under 3,600lbs and the tongue weight is 434, so I am at the limits of this truck here!

In all honesty it tows surprisingly well! A little bouncy but it just seems more exaggerated than how it already drives without a trailer. I have towed all sorts of good combinations and crap combos (have a Class A CDL) and I was expecting worse from the 4Runner.

This weekend will be its first trip on the highway so we’ll see. I plan to just take it easy though, I am in no hurry.

Do you have a weight distribution hitch? That helped my 4Runner out a lot. It removed that bouncy feeling.

I do. Maybe I should try to/see if I am able to remove another link from it and see if that helps. I am also raising the ball on my truck about 1.5” too and maybe that may make a difference too.

Not sure where to get those little ones but for those interested, here's a place you get full size ones, bought one for the 4runner gate but the tint is dark to show. I'll put it on my tundra back window someday.
