I was searching around to see if anyone has made a guide for removing the front valance on the 5th gen 4runner without taking off the front bumper. However, I did not so I made a guide myself hope it helps anyone that needs this. (Finished product below with wrapped grille and valance)

Great video, I will do it now. You have any idea how to do the rear one?

Rear requires bumper removal. The clips are the same however the are between the frame and bumper cover. There is essentially no room to get your hand up in there. Fortunately the bumper removal takes all of 10 minutes.

So this is totally doable without having baby hands or scratching things up ? Looking to replace the front valance on my 2020 without pulling the bumper and having the radar reset

Absolutely. There is zero reason to remove the bumper.

Thank you! This was extremely helpful. Got mine done yesterday. Even successfully reused all 13 OEM clips (though the bumper foam nearly ate one!).

Now need to tackle the rear valence….looks a bit more complex.

Where did you get your vinyl? I’m thinking about doing this on my lunar rock but the silver doesn’t look bad on lunar rock.

I taped off the rear, took my time, and it went splendidly. Turned out way better than I thought. Wanted something tougher, so went with Herculiner spray in. Ended up being easier than the front

Those clips were always a mystery to me, because I couldn't find any threads/videos on the subject. I ripped mine off in a puddle, and should probably replace it at some point. Thanks much!

Sort of an old thread- but I’m looking at buying just the black rear valance. Since I don’t have a Pro, no dealer will sell me one. I’m having a hard time finding an OEM part because of that, even though I’m sure it will fit. Guess I have to go aftermarket?

52169-35120 is the part number for just the black rear valence.
