Rear shock install.

    A buddy just traded in his fj on a trdor 4runner with the eibach pro truck suspension. So he brought it over today, did and oil change and tire rotation. Well when I was looking at his rear shocks, the middle metal washer is missing/wasn't installed.

    Does it need to be there?

    Its there on mine and not his(both eibach rear shocks.

    Here's a picture of the washer im talking about

    Stuff like this isn't unheard of.

    See if your buddy can reach out to Eibach and get a replacement otherwise that bushing can tear itself or wear down unevenly.

    Or better yet, get a new bushing set.
