Funny how we forget the basics that existed long before we started to depend on tech (vs using it to add assistance). When I was helping our youngest practice driving, I always threw my had up on the screen so she couldn’t use the camera to back up for parking. Glad I learned to drive in the late 80s

Greased the propeller shafts and yokes front and rear. Washed it. Next will be front and rear diff fluid change along with t-case. Then ditch lights after that.

Washed it, disinfected the back after taking the dogs to the dog park, then cleaned it, vinyl treatment, windows, the whole enchilada. Finally got the wheels installed Friday. I am not sold yet. -36 is a bit much hanging just a tick beyond the fender, but once the lift goes on it will look better. I am too big to get on the ground, between the tire and fender and into the fender liner behind the headlights. Going to pull the front bumper off and install LED lows, LED change back driving lights and yellow/white selectable fogs in next weekend.

Well all I did to my 4 Runner is I cleaned the Softex and washed/bleached my dogs towels after he was sprayed by a skunk this morning. I literally just told a friend I was surprised my dog has never been sprayed by a skunk. Well check that off the bucket list.

Full brake job today. Front and rear rotor/pad replacement. Took the whole day.

It was time. I'm at 75,000 miles.

Also replaced my front 1.5" spacers with some 1.25" Spidertrax spacers.

I need to do mine too. I'm at 76K. I already have the pads, but I should probably do the rotors while I have it all apart. The front rotors should just pop off, but is it different for the rear with the parking brake?

No, they pop off just the same. Just make sure you have the parking brake off.

Pretty easy to remove most of the old ones. Just used a rubber mallet on them.

One was a little stubborn. Had to use the screw hole on the rotor to pry it away from the rest of the assembly. The bolt used to hold your brake lines bracket to your spindle is the exact right size for the job. 12mm bolt head.

Wanderlost Offroad has a really good tutorial of the whole process on their Youtube page.

^^ that's a pro tip worth highlighting - if you have a stubborn rotor that won't come off easily, screw a bolt into the hole in the rotor and tighten until the rotor pops loose.

driving experience ... night and day better! no more blind spot and it already saved me when some hotshot was zipping through lanes going nearly double the speedlimit on a 35 mph road and I didn't see him coming up from behind. look at the mirror and see enough of his car in the small mirror as he zooms on past.

also finally got the new rear door struts on and also a great improvement. before if the window was down the door wouldn't want to really open. now it fires right up without hesitation. Super easy install though I will say, have a ladder to hold up the door and take both stock struts off first because the new ones are a touch longer and you can't connect it with the other side still having the stock one connected.

that's how I set up my mirrors, I don't see any part of my vehicle, and it does eliminates most blind spots but not all of them. Especially on the driver side with how our 4 runner mirrors are, so if one only wanted to improve the drivers side, its an easy 50$ upgrade. The passenger side could have been skipped IMO but its still nice to have and will be useful when I tow anything.

I bought OEM pads and rotors from Camelback Toyota. Cheaper than I thought it would be and actually cheaper shipped to my house than going to my local Toyota dealership and picking everything up in person.

I was getting tired of the Limited look so I decided to make a few changes this summer before heading up to Rausch Creek Off Road Park next month to play with the Wranglers..... :muscleflexing:
    - Stage 1 Eibach lift
    - TRD Pro wheels 17" with BFG KO2s (upgrading to 33s's once I can unload my Limited wheels/tires - PM me if interested)
    - Skid Plate with under body/front air dam/deflector delete
    - RSG Rock Sliders
    - Diode Dynamic LED Light Bar

    Pump gas.
Realize how much newer mpg calculations are off. Not complaining about mpg, I'm only complaining about accuracy.
(Almost stock '21 TRD Pro, stock size tires no lift. Just sliders and skids.)

    Average after refuel - 16.6mpg
    Average after reset - 16.3mpg
    Average per the pump - 17.1264827402 mpg (257miles / 15.006gal)
    Range per the trip meter - 338 miles (257 = 81)
Range after refuel - 299 miles

Went with this set off Amazon Canada (less choices here than US). The only thing I wish was for the backseat come light to be brighter. But, they are all brighter/crisper than the OEM bulbs and so much cooler to the touch.

That seems to be a good price too. I've seen people spend like 5 times that amount for about the same light from expensive brands LoL. So far Amazon cheap bulbs have serve me well.
