I have absolutely no idea. My only hope at this point is to be able and do at least one wheeling trip before the end of the summer. That here means September..
Hopefully in 2 weeks but not holding my breath.

 

Any dyno charts yet for the 4.0?

 

We have a guy--Kevin. He is in Philadelphia, but travels.

 

Not yet. We just got the tune finished and tested. The 2020+ files were just added to VFtuner.
We plan to Dyno test it.

 

Not at this time. We will do some dyno runs in the future.

So does the tune make a HUGE difference like in the tacoma? Wasn't the tacoma tune good for like 25whp?

Dave drove a 2022 4Runner Saturday that was stock, then tuned it and drove it. He said that it felt as good as the Tacoma KDMax-Pro+XT tune!
I figured that it would since we got a lot of the same tune maps in VFtuner as the Tacoma (and we have A LOT of tune maps for the Tacoma). I expect to see similar gains.

I've been on the Tacoma forums for a bit because I initially wanted a Taco before I landed on the 4Runner. I have a few friends who got the KDMax tune for their tacos and RAVE about it. I got the KDMax XT tune this weekend and am loving it. Shifting is smooth and predictable and I no longer need my Sprint Booster. Going up hills was no longer a pain. And this is a bit early but my mpg went up by 1.5mpg. And that's with me randomly mashing on the accelerator to test out the responsiveness. I highly recommend these dudes.

 

I had the KDMax tune on my '21 Tacoma before I got my 4Runner, it was installed by Dave. 110% worth it, really livened up that truck and made it so much more enjoyable to drive. I am on the list for the Magnuson supercharger once it gets approved in CA, but the KDMax tune is so good, honestly I might do it in the interim and then flash back to stock before the Magnuson. Cannot recommend these gents enough. Dave is a super nice guy, very knowledgeable, and the tune is amazing.

 

@PapaRee, Tune is solid and responsive. Mileage is steady 16 mpg in town and I am heavy and re-geared. I've seen 19+ on the hwy if I keep it reasonable. PapaRee has been very responsive to me hitting him up from time to time and I fully recommend the KDMax for the 4runner. Every time he has sent me a tune it has produced a noticeable improvement.

 

i imagine this would obsolete Pedal Commander? or use in conjunction?
