Decided to downsize and simplify (and pay less insurance and personal property taxes). Traded my '11 Tacoma and sold my '14 Mustang to get a 2016 4Runner SR5 Premium.

Here's what I got rid off:

    Stock 4Runner

    IMG_20170225_093114086.jpg

Mod 1: Tinted front windows and installed Toytec Ultimate 3" lift with Camburg UCA's and Kumho AT51 Road Venture tires (265) on TRD Wheels

Comparison with another stock 4Runner in the mall parking lot

    IMG_20170319_122030398.jpg

Mod 2: Removed stock running boards and installed Westin Pro-Traxx 4 boards

    IMG_20170325_110248006_HDR.jpg

    IMG_20170325_141932884_HDR.jpg

Mod 3: Installed Baja Roof Rack (full length with moon roof cutout)

Mod 4: TBD - considering a TRD Pro front grille but don't want to spend $500+ on that.

Pat: Welcome aboard! You certainly have a sweet rig there, but I keep our 4R Trail stock, except for tires. It's our daily driver and, when we do go off-road, we stick to the easier forest service trails these days due to old age and infirmities! All the best. - Ted

why 20's? Looks good as is with the 17s. Why not 33s on what you have now? I think anything over 18 ruins the 4runners. 17s are my favs on the 4runner

Very nice! Was looking for pics of the Kumho Venture tire. I think this is the tire I am going to go with on my Venture. Stock size.

Hey man, Im thinking of putting them on my Venture too. But 275's. Did you do the Kuhmo? If so can you put up some photos of yours? Im not thinking its much more aggressive than the stock Dunlops are. Especially after seeing Dillen808's.

I haven’t swapped out the stock Bridgestones yet. Only have 10k miles so far.

Lol, I said Dunlops! lol I meant the Bridgestone Duellers. I purchased in April, did many things. Driving myself crazy with suspension, lifts, tire sizes, etc. Had ordered ironman suspension 2.5/2rear. Cancelled today cause not sure I want that much lift and was pricey. Sometimes I've thought what did I get myself into lol. Love it though, great truck and a lot of fun. Mostly a daily driver so may go with those Kuhmos. If I can find out if the look aggressive enough. Rest of 275 options are heavy and for some reason heavier than 285's. Anyway just shooting the sh*t. Let me know how it goes when it goes. Ill do the same. Peace!

haha. I had to take a break from this forum! There was just too much stuff being done to these trucks! I’ve kept mine stock other than a bug deflector with “raptor” lights integrated. I love the truck. New tires will add to its great looks when it’s time. I already had to plug one tire, so living on borrowed time!

Does this have a lift? Says SR5 but looks like TRD pro.

Hi Pat, Wondering if you like or liked the Kuhmo's? Were they aggressive enough for you? trying to get a sense from photos.
