I purchased a 2010 4Runner Limited last year.....love the truck, have friends who've owned many. I have an issue that i just started noticing a few months ago. I feel a shake or vibration in the steering wheel when I'm going 55-65 MPH. I had it to a shop ( 2 in total so far) and had the following done (yet still have the same issue?) 4 new tires, new rotors/ pads all around, wheel hubs in front also new calipers. I've also had the front struts/mounts replaced. I was wondering if anybody has had the same experience? or have an idea what it can be? really don't want to change parts without actually diagnosing what the issue might be? thanks in advance

Has the shop looked into things like the lower control arm ball joints, bushings and stuff such as that also? Lots of times if there is shake like that and all those others replaced its something like the LCA ball joint

I got the truck back from the mechanic today. He said he took the truck for a ride with another mechanic and said he checked and tweaked the balance and he said he thought it was a bit better while the other mechanic didn't think so. He put the truck on a lift and ran it but said without any weight on the truck it was hard to see anything that would stand out? he checked the entire front end, drive shaft, u joints but really couldn't find anything " yet" but said if I feel it getting worse? to bring it back in and hopefully he'll see something glaring. He did say that if he had to venture a guess as to what it could be? he said perhaps the front axle shafts but again it's just a guess. The truck runs fine but even if this turns out to be the "norm" it still doesn't sit well with me. I'm getting a bit tired but might look for a 3rd set of eyes and will see if I can find someone who's well versed in 4 Runners.
