    Hey All,

Putting in a winch but would rather relocate / replace my power steering cooler than relocate the winch controller.

Looks like the 4x4 labs is on back order and waiting to hear back but any thoughts on using a small Mishimoto oil cooler like this and mounting it below the small brace same place the 4x4 labs is mounted
    https://www.amazon.com/Mishimoto-MMOC-10-Universal-Cooler-Silver/dp/B007ZG28LQ?crid=1PW0MLER1VF2X&keywords=mishimoto+universal+10+row&qid=1659372820&sprefix=mishimoto+universal+10+row%2Caps%2C123&sr=8-3&th=1

and then just get AN10 to nipple adapter. Maybe a dumb question, but is is possible to provide too much cooling to the power steering?

EDIT: .......or just weld the brackets so the current cooler is routed below, in the same spot as the 4x4 labs cooler. That would probably be the least expensive and pretty easy option.

Oil needs a certain minimum temp to be 100% efficient, but I doubt that you'd encounter issues due to cold(er) PS oil. Obviously this might be an issue in northern Alaska, but we have no idea where you are located. If I were sporting serious wood for a PS oil cooler, I wouldn't lose any sleep over installing one up here in Montreal.

As an aside, I usually plumb tranny oil coolers in series with the OEM cooler in the rad. Through the rad and then to the cooler. Assures me that the oil at least gets up to a minimum temp. If my cooling system was already taxed (bigger engine etc) or if I lived in Florida, then I'd bypass the OE cooler completely.

Not sure I believe that a cooler is even warranted for PS, but that's not what you asked....or my business *wink*

Appreciate that reply. Ended up ordering the 4x4 labs heat sink + relocation kit everyone says to go with. Their website said back ordered but sounded like they were upgrading systems and so some things werent accurate - so if anyone see's back ordered on there for the immediate future I would give them a call or email about it.
