Bilstein 5100's and OME 884's for the front, Bilstein 2" springs in the rear.

Looks good. Are 285s next or you keeping the stock size tires?

Rides better than the factory setup. I love it.

Curious, how much did the parts cost?
Also did you install, if not about how much could one plan to spend at the shop?

    thanks

Well with that said pretty sure you just helped me make my mind up! Was going to just do the bilstein shocks front and back out the front up 2.5 inches and back 1.5 to make sure no rake. Main objective for wife’s everyday car is to not lose any of the smoothness drives amazing better than the suburban we traded oddly enough and also to get her up a few inches.

5100's and OME springs will not make for a smooth ride.

5100's with Dobinsons 302's up front and 599's in the rear would be more smooth imho.

Any suggestions? This is definitely out of my realm of knowledge! Seems like when I come to a decision it’s debunked shortly after. Been told my several larger shocks will get me slightly more height and rise better…

I have 5100’s with Dobinson 302 in front and 599 in rear. Also have a JBA UCA, SSO Slimline bumper, Warn winch, full set of RCI aluminum skids and CaliRaised sliders. I mention these accessories to call out the additional weight I’ve added.

I have the front 5100’s set at the OEM circlip setting and netted a 2” lift over stock. Dobinsons says you will get 2.5” without the added weight which seems about right. I netted a 2” lift over stock in the rear where the springs were supposed to give 1”.

The ride quality is firm with the 5100’s but I like it over the soft OEM setup. The nosedive is 90% gone. I do drive the rig conservatively as one should with a lifted vehicle but it does handle like a lifted vehicle so carving turns is not recommended.

I’m happy with the setup and can recommend it if you are looking to firm it up a bit. I did my own install so saved $ on that component and have about $1400 invested in the shocks, springs and UCA….

    Cheers,
    Bob

Yes, i installed everything myself in about 4 hours for front and rear. The springs and shocks ran me around 800 bucks.
