TRD Hood Scoop Vinyl/Glare Deflector

One tiny crease during install but I mean barely noticeable at all. Great quality! The topo material/black would’ve matched a lot better, but wanted decided to go with something more simple. He sent me both to compare. Chris is awesome to work with! Here is the black comparison with a plasti dip scoop.

Finally installed my topo. Good thing the vinyl is somewhat forgiving! I had some bubbles mostly around the curves of the scoop, but think I got them fixed. A couple of squirts of water helped. The fang on the pax side might have a little nick in it at the very front, but I'll check tomorrow. Is there any adhesive I could use to made it adhere if it decides to peel? The decal looks great on my rig...thx, Chris!

 

There is not an adhesive but as long as you give it pressure when the water is dry from application you shouldn't have problems. The adhesive is pretty substantial. If there is an issue reach out to me and we will figure it out. I am camping and have reception in and out this weekend but will be back on Tuesday. Two new colors! Grey with Black contours and Army Green with Grey contours! Limited quantity because I'm not sure what the interest levels will be.

Coming soon!!!! Topo with body colored contours. Matching paint color with ink color is impossible but I invested in a color system to get as close as humanly possible.

I would be interested in the basic 3M wrap. Is it just a matte black wrap?

 

The regular black matte color is a cast vinyl. It's not an automotive "wrap". The wraps are much more pliable and can stretch a lot more. The 3M topo is closer to a wrap. It is a lot more pliable and can stretch around surfaces more. Hope that answers your question

What are the sizes? Would these work on the upper area of the windshield?

 

I guess a reference pic would have been helpful haha! Editing now. They fit the hood scoop front to back, some people also put them in front of the scoop.

I could make something that goes across the windshield, PM me and we can figure out what you have in mind. It all comes down to amount of vinyl and waste. That's what my prices are driven off of (cost of materials).

Hi Chris,
I installed the Topo on my white 2021 OR and I think it looks great.
That said, I kinda miss the way the hood bulge looked from the drivers seat and began to wonder how it would look if the vinyl was a “matt white” that would still stop the glare but blend in more with the vehicle. I would appreciate your thoughts??

Yeah, I matte white would block the glare and blend in more. It wouldn't "match" the paint. Just for reference, there are over 1000 shades of white in automotive paint but only 1 white in the Vinyl I use. I also do not have that vinyl and would have to order it in if you are serious about changing it out. Pm me if you want to talk more.

Teaser! Got some new color options! Army Green, Nautical Blue, Lime Rush Green, Barcelona Red and Grey contour line Topo! Only ordered enough for two of each of hood scoop colors (other than the grey I keep a supply of). Note: These are ink colors. They are as close as I can get to factory colors but may not be a perfect match. I will make some small samples to send out for color comparison if you are a serious buyer. Pm me if interested!

 

Limited run!!! I have Topo hood scoop decals with dark blue, red, lime green and army green contours! I only have 2 of each. I don't plan on stocking this configuration but if I get enough requests and pre-pays I will order more. Unfortunately ink does not match automotive (metallic colors change as lighting changes).
