I was really considering purchasing the $500+ kit to convert my SR5 grill to the TRD version but now I am having second thoughts.

Does Toyota ever make a retrofit kit for a Tacoma grill to fit a 4Runner. I highly doubt it but this Tacoma grill looks way better than the TRD grill in my opinion.

For the owners of these vehicles, thank you.

Do you know which vendor makes/sells that "TOYOTA" grill on the Tacoma?

Thanks. I looked at the website, the Tacoma options are much more appealing to me than the 4Runner options, but again, Thanks.

I think the price for that kit (even the one on the other forum) is too high for what you get. I am going to explore other options, but thanks for posting that link.

And I've looked at some of the custom offerings from various vendors on the internet for the 5th gen. The mesh and billet inserts are not my style and I cannot get myself to drop $500 on the TRD look. So I will wait.

you should consider just plasti dipping the current grill cross bar and Toyota emblem black. not exactly the TRD look, but it's similar color and a lot less expensive.

I did plan on plasti dipping my rear and front Toyota emblems and the SR5 emblems on the sides. I don't want to plasti dip the entire cross bar though, I think that tends to look cheap, that said, I've only seen it in pictures, not in person.
